Hey, I’m Jacqui

I’m a freelance writer and editor currently based on the beautiful beach-meets-bush Central Coast, NSW. I have two offices: my dining table and the local cafe.

My love of writing started as soon as I learnt how to form letters. I’d tap away for hours on an old typewriter while lying on my parents’ bed and, as I got older, I’d come home from primary school and pen stories that were often titled, The Magic [insert inanimate object].

Fast forward to now and I have more than 15 years’ experience writing and editing lifestyle content - mainly food, health, travel, and human interest stories for brands and magazines, in both print and digital formats. I’ve worked for start-up businesses and established brands, including Coles, Woolworths, Qantas, AAMI, Costco and SBS food online. Prior to freelancing, I was the magazine editor for the world's number-one weight-loss brand, Weight Watchers, in Australia and New Zealand.

I enjoy both the creative process of writing and the finicky work of editing.

If you’re looking for a writer, editor, or proofreader, feel free to get in touch - I’d love to work with you.
